We are expanding!

In order to remain competitive and to be able to meet the increasing demand for our products, we are expanding our plant.

Philosophy

Lightweight – low energy consumption – gentle on forage – gentle on soil – powerful

After changing his 40 hectare farm to organic farming, Max Bannaski became intensively involved with the above-mentioned buzzwords. He did not want to follow the general trend in agriculture with heavier, larger and more energy-intensive machines. He felt this way was not right for him and decided to go exactly against the trend: He exchanged his large-dimension tractors for smaller and much lighter machines. The condition for this was not to lose impact, but even to increase it. However, this was not possible with the grassland equipment available on the agricultural machinery market in the way Max Bannaski imagined. His ambition and clear ideas were the basis for the development of machines for the sustainable cultivation of grassland according to the motto:

With minimum energy input to maximum ecological and operating efficiency.

History

The company BB-Umwelttechnik GmbH is a young company, which came into being as a result of the demand of machines, which the founder Max Bannaski originally designed only for his own farm.

Because the agricultural machinery industry had nothing suitable to offer, Max Bannaski, a master mechanical engineer and farmer, designed and built his first machine back in 2005, at that time a bale wrapper. When at some point on the farm the investment of a rake was due, it was time again. No manufacturer was able to meet the requirements (front rake, low dead weight, approx. 5 meters working width, easy to pull and gentle on the fodder). Fascinated by the principle of the old comb rake, which was widely used in the 1950s, he designed his first rake. This is still in use on the farm for harvesting to this day.

The system found favor, the surrounding area was curious and so it was not long before the first concrete request was made for the construction of such a rake, then already with eight meters working width.

After the windrower, Max Bannaski turned his attention to mowers. Double-blade mowers offered him enormous advantages: Low dead weight, gentle on fodder, power requirement approx. 25% of a rotary mower, absolutely gentle on amphibians and insects, significantly better growth behavior after mowing and high impact power. So the step was not far to construct a well thought-out and functional double-blade mower.

Right from the start, he relied on a modular system for both the rakes and the double-blade mowers, which allows components to be exchanged or machines to be expanded without any problems. In the meantime, there is a wide product range that is constantly being expanded.
